Management presentation Transaction

Definition

First face-to-face meeting between prospective buyers of a business and current business management. Typically held off-site and moderated by investment bank handling transaction.

Comments

Management presentations help both buyers and sellers understand and get to know each other. If there is significant interest, sellers can determine the best potential fit for their business.

Management presentations typically occur whether an intermediary is involved or not. In either case, presentations typically occur after accepting the expression of interest (EOI) letter and can involve up to a dozen or so buyers. Usually a half-day is scheduled per group.
