		<description>This pretty much affirms what is generally assumed, but I haven't seen it so clearly displayed.  Of the firms in the graph, were venture capital firms or smaller PE firms included or just the bigger buyout-focused private equity firms?
	
I agree, it will be interesting to see what the data for 2009 will be.  I hear a lot of talk about private equity firms benefiting in some ways from the financial crisis by buying up distressed assets being sold by the government and investment funds at low prices, fixing them up and selling them for a profit.  So maybe 2009 will show a lot of new firms, we'll see I guess.
